LEARN TO PLAY THE DRUMS

The band meets on the Maryville college campus located in Maryville Tennessee. New student drummers will be advised on what to purchase for instruction at the first lesson. The band welcomes new members.

The band gives free lessons each Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. prior to regular band practice, except on holidays. Band lessons and practice are held in “THAW HALL” lower level located in the heart of the Maryville college campus. Anyone interested in learning Scottish drumming on the snare, tenor, or bass drum or having questions about lessons should contact Drum Sgt. Keith Pickens.

Drumming lessons address standard Scottish settings. Drumming students and drummers furnish their own practice pads and sticks. However, beginning students are advised to buy this equipment only with the advice of their drumming instructor. The band furnishes Premier drums as shown below to all performing drummers.
